How to Handle Self-Judgment


Do you find the voice in your head telling you things like "you'll never be good enough" or "you're lookin' miiighty ugly today", or something along those lines? 

Most of the time, our "inner critic" as most call it stems from a critical person from our past, or a combination of negative voices we've accumulated throughout our lives. 

We may feel stuck, because that voice in our head feels permanent, and it's not like we can run away from what can you do?

If you Numb your Sadness, you Numb your Joy

A few years ago, I was driving home to my beautiful flat in Bury St. Edmunds, England. 

I looked to my left and saw a vivid sunset full of beautiful colors, and realized I felt nothing. At that moment it hit me that for most of my life, I had been numbing myself out. 

I was protecting myself from feeling negative things, and in the process I had blocked myself from experiencing joy and passion. 

I realized at that point that it was time to make a change, and I took off for a journey to discover true happiness.
